Girl Conducts Dating App Experiment by Using Only "Ugly" Photos, Ends Up Getting More Matches Than Before

Love is strange. Even the smallest inkling of love can drive someone to do some pretty weird things. Another thing that can do just that is boredom. So when you combine searching for love out of boredom, you get some pretty hilarious results.

A glaring example of this deadly combination has gone viral from TikToker @hesky. She was bored one night, so decided to go unhinged on the Hinge dating app. She replaced all of her "nice" photos with "ugly" photos of herself, so instead of the styled and dolled up pics, it was photos of her shoving a handful of fries in her mouth or a bad angle. She expected that this would repel most of the guys on the app and end up getting her less matches, but the results surprised her.

After letting it stay that way, with the addition of some totally random written prompts, she actually ended up getting more matches than normal. She even ended up matching with guys she had liked, but they hadn't liked her back yet. What does this mean? There has to be some psychology and love guru stuff behind this, but for now, everyone is just having fun watching the chaos unfold.
